Department of Research & Development

This department is responsible for research on building materials and construction techniques and technologies required in reducing construction costs. It also supports other departments by offering technical and laboratory services. The department has the following activities:- 

* Research on building materials occurrences and their availability for use.

* Laboratory and field testing of building materials.

* Seminars on affordable housing

* Training and demonstration on use of local building materials.

* Socio-economic surveys research on housing & human settlements development issues.

* Roofing tile vibrating machines.

* Various moulds (block & tile moulds)

* FRC roofing tiles

* Interlocking blocks.

* VIP latrine technology.
